Redland Hospital Fund the place to give in the Redlands

25 Mar 2024

People who are grateful for the care they’ve received at Redland Hospital now have a place for them and their loved ones to say thank you and give back.

Celebrated on Friday 22 March at a special event at the hospital, the fund raises money for patient support initiatives, state of the art equipment and staff education at Redland Hospital.

The event saw staff enjoy food trucks and a visit from some friendly alpacas while learning about how the fund works and how it can benefit patients, staff, and the wider community.

Damian Topp, Chief Executive Officer of the PA Research Foundation, which manages and administers the fund, said the whole Redland community will benefit each time a donation is made.

“Every time a grateful patient or their family members makes a gift it will help us to fund initiatives that will help future patients experience better health outcomes and have a better overall hospital experience,” he said.

“By choosing to say thank you and give to the fund, they can have a great impact on their whole community as each and every donation will help us to acquire the latest equipment, ensure every staff member has the latest training and fund initiatives that help patients return home sooner.”

The launch coincided with a revamped Redland Hospital Fund website which offers multiple ways to give including regular giving, leaving a gift in will, and raising funds through fitness events and hosting fundraisers.

Redland Hospital services a growing council area and population in Brisbane’s bayside and delivers quality care and services through more than 194 overnight beds and inpatient and outpatient treatment spaces.

“We know the Redland Hospital staff are exceptional and that it’s healing for patients to say thank you and give back as a vital step in their health journey and we’re excited about helping to create a healthier and happier bayside community.
