Your place to give
PA Research Foundation will aim to raise $250,000 to create better health outcomes for the more than 300,000 patients a year treated at the facility at their fifth annual Giving Day on Thursday 7 September.
Thanks to generous matching donors and the Foundation’s community of supporters every donation on Giving Day will be doubled for 24 hours only.
More than 49 teams comprised of hospital departments, wards and research teams will take part in raising funds to help their patients by calling on their own networks to choose the PA as their place to give, with funds raised going to medical research, patient support, out of budget equipment and staff education.
For the first time ever, the Foundation is extending the impact of Giving Day across the Metro South Health District, with Logan, QEII Jubilee, Redland and Beaudesert Hospitals also able to take part in Giving Day and have donations matched up to $10,000 on September 7.
PA Research Foundation Chief Executive Officer Damian Topp said what makes Giving Day special is the commitment of healthcare staff and researchers from across Metro South Health.
“In terms of our ability to fund medical research and patient care initiatives that lead to improved health outcomes for patients, Giving Day is our most impactful day of the year,” he said.
“What makes our Giving Day so special is the enthusiasm of hospital staff and research teams in calling on their own networks to choose the PA as their place to give and help their patients by having their donation doubled.
“I’m incredibly thankful to our wider community of Foundation donors and supporters, without whom Giving Day would not be possible.”
