Applications have opened for the PA Research Foundation's 2020 Research Awards and Metro South Health Support Scheme 2020.
The PA Research Foundation's Awards will be allocated to clinically led, collaborative teams across the five specific research categories directed by PARF donors. These research areas include skin cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, other cancer areas and other health areas.
In 2019, the Foundation distributed a record $1.85 million in crucial funding to 12 transformational health research projects at the PA Hospital Campus.
PA Research Foundation CEO Damian Topp says the Foundation is proud to continue its long history of funding innovative, novel research that truly makes a difference.
"It is incredible to see the ways in which the research benefits the wider community, and we will continue our plight to save lives by funding research that pushes boundaries and gets results.
"We are very fortunate to be supported by a generous community of donors and partners and are extremely grateful for their ongoing support of the research happening here at the PA Hospital Campus," said Damian.
The new application system this year is now open via the Metro South Health Smarty Grants platform. Applicants can apply here.
Entries close August 7, 2019 and grants will be announced at the Metro South Health Research Support Scheme Awards Night at the Translational Research Institute Auditorium in November 2019.

The Research Awards are made possible thanks to the generous support from the Foundation's donors and partners, including ALH Group, Aveo, Australian Venue Co, Coca-Cola Amatil, St George Bank, Allianz Partners, Stellarossa, Network 10, and our wonderful community of supporters.
