PA Foundation Spring Appeal
PA Hospital Radiographer and wife and mother Renae McBrien had her life turned upside down when she was diagnosed with Melanoma behind her eye. Recent advancements in medical research meant that Renae had access to treatment options that weren't available five years ago. Renae underwent a new treatment and as a result, the tumour is no longer growing.
Through her job, Renae is able to gain insight into the progress being made in Cancer Research, and the importance of continuing to invest in this crucial research, noting the difference this makes in saving lives. Inspired by this, Renae created her Community Garden; a haven to sow, nurture and grow new life.
The PA Foundation recently invited our donors to write messages of hope for visitors to our community garden here at the PA Hospital to read and we are so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support we have received in these messages, now proudly displayed in the garden.
Renae has since invited patents and staff to join her and decorate hearts and write down what they are grateful for.
